Active in youth ministry since 2010, Josh and Kelly Bacon began to envision a place in their home community where kids could gather. "We wanted a safe space where kids could come in and do schoolwork or play games, relax, have some snacks, watch a movie, or simply connect with friends in an atmosphere where they know they are cared for and valued." In 2018, Josh and Kelly's nonprofit First Love Ministries began renting and renovating a space right on Main Street adjacent to the Village Fire Hall and the FireHouse Youth and Community Center became a reality.
